Objective of the Study Objectives of my research project are:

What are the problems faced by the students and teachers to manage children at home. 3. And what steps should be taken to manage children at home. Limitation of the Study This research concerns the “managing children at home”. Significance of the Study There are some expected significance of the study : 1.Theoretical Significance a. The result of the research can be useful for teacher and parents to improve the management of children at home. b. The result of the research is used as the reference for those who want to conduct a research on the managing children at home. 2. Practical Significance a. It will improve both teacher’s and parent’s ability to solve their problem in mastering managing the children at home.. Question.6: Who were the participants in your projects? In my research study the target population consisted of students and teachers. There were 5 teachers and 95 students. The students were ranging in the same age group. They are the students of grade 3 & 4. Among them 50 students were male and 45 students were female. They are taught in Curriculum of AJK. I selected the students of these classes as I knew that managing such age group children at home is very hard for the parents. Moreover, such age group are hard for teachers when they are asked for some homework by the teachers. I knew that the students have different psyche regarding interaction with parents, siblings and teachers. Also , male and female students have different attitude towards their peers and teachers under different conditions. I included teachers in my research study so that they may observe the whole activity and understand the importance of managing children at home. In addition, as we know that teachers have basic role in developing positive behaviour in children so teachers must know the outcome of this research study as without teachers’ motivation and encouragement, children cannot develop such behaviour that may be useful in managing children at home. Question.7: How did you try to solve the problem? Location of the Study I conducted my research study in my school that is located in my District ————-. The main focus of my research study was to find out how to manage the children at home. So that this research may be helpful for teachers and parents at home. I conducted this research in my school as I consider that teachers do not pay full attention to this issue. Therefore, I wanted to highlight its importance in my school. Moreover, children feel many problems at home when the parents are unable to manage children at home. Languages of communication which I used was Urdu and English. Target Population The population from which I selected the sample was composed of the teachers and students in my school in my district————. The main focus was to find the problems that parents and teachers face while managing children at home. It was considered that children have not very good exposure to the management of their time and other activities at home and they involve many bad habits. That’s why I included teachers and students in my research. Total participants were 100 for the execution of research study. All the participants filled the questionnaire Performa and submitted back. I helped the students in the comprehension of the questionnaire. All the participants responded in an effective and responsible manner. Sampling Technique I selected the sample through a simple random sampling technique from the list of all students in my school where I conducted my research study in my district. Sample Size The sample of my research study consisted of twenty per cent of the target population as Gay (1992) stipulated that the minimum sample size should be at least 20 per cent of the target population. Data Collection Procedure I made courtesy visits to the area District Commissioner and District Education Officer of my District ——– , in order to introduce myself and my research study. Then I delivered copies of research authorization from DEO Elementary to inform the principal and the teachers the purpose of the study. Then I conducted the research by administering questionnaires and collecting them from the respondents myself the same day. Cloze tests were administered in a separate day with the help of teachers and collected the same day. They were given as a group test in a specified time schedule. Data Analysis Techniques Then I checked the completed questionnaires for completeness and consistency before processing the responses. I sorted out the questionnaires from cloze tests for coding purpose. The codes on the questionnaire were categorized on the basis of similarities of information provided by the respondents. The information was tabulated and analyzed using descriptive statistics, namely; percentages. The statistics were generated using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The information was later presented using tables and figures for ease of understanding and analysis. Question.8: What kind of instrument was used to collect the data? Questionnaire (Appendix A) I made a questionnaire regarding questionnaire skills for teachers and students and it helped me a lot in collecting my research data. This questionnaire comprised questions, for example : (i) Managing children at home has an impact on learning of the children and it must be managed by the teachers and parents at home. (ii) Teachers can help parents in improving the managing of the children at home by activities. (iii) Managing the children at home can reshape completely the overall progress of the children. Interviews I took interviews of different teachers regarding managing the children at home and asked according to their view, what is most effective way of managing the children at home while improving learning of the children and the development of the personality of the children. INTERVIEW: The interview that I conducted from the children comprises of the following questions. (i) Are you ever frustrated at home by the parents and siblings due to negligence ? (ii) Do your teachers and parents help you in managing your homework and other activities at home? (iii) Have your teacher ever asked about problems that you face at home? Observations I observed different children of different classes in school and wrote my observations that I observed and concluded the results that by managing the children at home, the motivation and interest of the children can be increased. This will increase their spirit level and happiness in learning process. Without managing children at home , the children feel demonization and they loss their interest in studies and hence in learning. It causes loss of personality development and other aspects of the learning. But if it is handled in a managed sequence then this problem can be eliminated and it will have positive effects on the learning abilities of students. That student who are given a motivation by managing their time at home achieves good and positive remarks by the teachers and society. In addition, those students who are not provided a framework remain passive and lose their interest in studies. Students’ work I checked out the work assigned to the students just to know the impacts of managing their time and other activities on their homework. All those students without any good management by the teachers and parents could not complete their homework. On asking the children told that they faced many difficulties and could not complete the tasks assigned to them for homework. Q.NO.9 I distributed questionnaire among participants in which I declared five levels of agreement or disagreement to respondents. I put the responses in tabular form that shows percentage of responses of the respondents. SA= Strongly Agree A= Agree UND= Undecided DA=Disagree SDA= Strongly Disagree Sr. no Statement Answer options SA 1 A 2 UND 3 DA 4 SDA 5 1. The children will be highly interested in the studies if they improve their management of activities and time at home by the help of parents and teachers. Because of managing the children at home provides opportunities to them to improve and expand ideas and emotions. Managing the children at home can improve their skills as well. Conclusion of OBSERVATIONS: The observations also indicate that those children who are provided a managed schedule of their activities during learning given opportunities has a vast range of motivation and hence, they become successful in adjusting their homework tasks and complete them in time. Students work is the clear indication of this observation. Moreover, the role of teacher cannot be neglected in this situation.
